blower motor???

is it possible to replace that crappy plastic blower motor with a quiter more powerful one? cuz the air dosnt really blow too well though my vents, like its ok, but it dosnt come out nearly as well as it did from my dakota or my moms cavileir.. so i think there all like that, and its normal, but i was thinking of jucin up that noisy little pos any ideas???

It could be a resister going bad. also, how old is your car?

its a 2001 SL... and the fans suck so bad, it sounds like ther blowing, but there is hardly any air comming from the vents, but you can hear the sound of blowing so much louder than what is comming out of the vents, even on recirc, its still weak, just loud

It also could be a bad moter. thas all it could be in there, a resister or a moter. A bad bearing can make a loud noise.

i guess i explained it poorly, i guess its not exactly the sound of the motor, but its the sound of " blowing " but theres not as much air comming out of the vent as there is sound!

Then with that said, i think its the blower that is going bad. the noice is the bearings that are part of the fan part are bad. so i would say replace the blower. Im sorry about that.

Or maybe it wasn't put together properly? There's a lot of plastic ducting, something may have come apart. (it did on my van)
