First Kill...

I have a number of friends that swear by VW powertrains. A well maintained VW 2.0L, 1.8t, or VR6 will last you a long time. Not by Honda/Toyota standards, but they generally do pretty well in my experience. What do go wrong alot in VWs are little electronic and mechanical things like door handles/lock not working right or the little onboard computer screen in the mkIVs not working.

To the GTI owner- why isn't your car chipped? the 1.8t is screaming for it.

I heard it's the turbos that barely last over 50K miles - at least the B5 S4s.

I put a spoon on top of my vette and it didnt make it any faster.

Well, I just got the car..still determining which chip to buy.. stuck between GIAC, Revo, and APR. Later on I'm playing to get a k04-20 turbo kit, so I'll pick software that supports that.
