RCA for subs

I have a 2001 Sl2 with a cd player i was just curious if anybody know.....does that have RCA jacks in the back for a sub. i could take it out and look but i went to you guys first. Thanks

No, very few oem stereos have pre-amp rca outs. You can either buy an amp with low level inputs or buy a converter to convert low level inputs to rca.

I wouldn't hook up ANY sub to an OEM deck cuz the quality will suck. My friend put 2 12" solo baric L7s to the Infinity premium system in his Durango and they aren't as loud as with an aftermarket deck. if you want to hook up a sub to the OEM, I suggest the powered infinity basslink, either model I or II. Buy an aftermarket deck. ANY aftermarket deck will make subs sound a lot better and louder. installing it the first time is very simple and the next time you do it, you will do it faster than Oprah going for a baked ham:wink:
