There are Iwata's for less than US$100, like the Revolution CR. It's a great airbrush that is acclaimed by many :)

It has lots and lots of info on airbrushes.

This is what I think, it looks like an iawata revolution, but is it good as an iawata? I just want some advice before spending 60$ on something like this...

well if you spend 60$ on this, better spend 60$ on a Badger 155, or adding 30$ and get an Iwata.

Well the Badger 155 is a bottom feed airbrush and I think a gravity feed one is more usefull for me. So I guess I will buy a Iawata Revolution CR
Thanks!
Thanks!

I had two discount airbrushes, neither of them were worth the price I paid for them. They were basically 'knock-offs' of the Badger 350. However, all of the metal components were made out of a really soft brass and got bent/broken very easily. Never really sprayed very nice, even when they were brand new. I threw them out.
Even if the $ are hard to come by, don't scrimp. Save your $ and get a name brand tool and it'll serve you for many years.
Just my $0.02....

Why do so so many people favor a gravity feed airbrush?
I only find them of any use when you're spraying low volumes of paint, if you want to spray bodies, you really seem better off with a syphon feed to me.

Well I tought that the gravity feed was better, I already got a cheap bottom feed one and it need lots of paint to work
Is it better to get a badger 360 which is gravity and bottom feed or is it the iawata revolution is better?
Thanks!

I agree with freakray. suction feed are better for model car building, as the gravity are useful for quick colour change.
Make up artists and the like like them, as they spray low psi, low volome. Spray a whole 1:24 with 15 - 20 psi and a large bottle can soon start to empty out on the really good wet coat..!!

I use gravity feed for everyday building. They allow for me at least much better control. It takes less air to move the paint in a gravity feed than a suction feed which also means less overspray. The only thing I use suction feed airbrushes for is the body and even then I have a coupel of large gravity feed guns that work very well and hold as much as three ounces. I thin it is a personal preference as much as anything else. I also like the quicker cleanup of a gravity feed.

Hi,
I got one very similar, but with suction. I think it was from the same guys.
It works really good. No worries!

Bottom feed, with one of these, Badger cups

Makes it very easy to change paints, and very easy cleaning.

False feeling of quality ? you don't have much gravity airbrush that are cheap. I also prefer siphon, but it's a matter of taste.
I also use the "badger cup". You lost no paint at all. Best of both world

Damn, this is very hard to choose an airbrush, I don't even know what I want. The main use of the airbrush will be to paint interior and things that need masking, but I will use it to paint some bodies that require special color mixing. So is it better for me to get a bottom feed of a gravity feed? Bottom hold more paint that's right? But with gravity, you don't need to have a lot of paint in your bottle to paint..
But the badger cup looks good too.
The one I was looking for hold 7cc, how much hold a botton feed one?
Sorry for all those questions, but I really don't know what to look for and I really want an airbrush. It's ok with me to spend a little more, but I want to be sure that the airbrush will do everything I want.
Thanks a lot for your help guys, you really help me!

The badger cup is 7ml too and there will be no paint left. Usual bottle are 1/2oz (14ml) but the last 1 or 2ml are hard to get.
Badger have made the 360 for people, like you, that don't know what they want :D
Either, Badger or Iwata, both are great quality (in the same price range)
