This really isn't a HUGE problem that's an emergency, but when i bought my sable LS '97, someone had previously stolen the 6-CD changer magazine out of the car before i bought it. I am just wondering what my options are besides paying an arm and a leg to the bastard dealers...i've checked ebay, the local audio stores, and everywhere online and i have nothing else to do but give in to "the bastard dealer"...so maybe if anyone has an extra they want to sell or some ideas where to find one and how, that would be awesome...thanks...

Call Crutchfield and they will help you over the phone. I've used them a lot and they are the most helpful. Or what is the model of the factory CD changer? You could do what computer geeks have done for years. Find the FCC code on your CD changer, figure out who made it, and go directly to them.

called crutchfield and they told me to go to the dealer  so has almost everyone else...i want this to be my last option...and my model number is something like F6DF-18C849-CF...or at least i think that's what it is...i called the dealer and they said it was made by clarion...i can't find this model number on any of the clarion magazines, so maybe a different model from clarion can fit it? i don't know what to do, seems like i've tried everything but i really appreciate your help

i found a magazine for about 40 bucks and popped it in...the cd changer works but now i have a different problem with it and im starting to get frustrated by it. Sometimes it will not play some of my cd's, saying that it is a "BAD CD". Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Most of my cd's are burned but i don't see a problem with that, but im just wondering why it would say "BAD CD" more often than not...any ideas?

Those older CD players are prone to not play CD-r's. When you burn them, burn them at slower 1997 CD burner speeds. 4X should do it.

so burning the cd at 4X instead of 8X will affect whether the cd plays in my changer or not? how does this work? thanks for the help

The actual process as to how or why burning Cd's slower is beyond the scope of a short reply, but if you do a google search for burning CD-R's slower speed etc... You'll get a decent reason why. This assumes you're really interested in knowing why.

not too much...just wondering how that could actually work. I will give it a try though, and thanks for the help.

one more thing...i tried normal cd's, and most of the time those don't work either...is there a way to fix this problem or is my changer just a piece of shit?!!!!
