You need to either buy a conversion harness, or re-wire your existing harness for the OBD-1 stuff.

A friend of mine has a 90 Civic base and wants to do the B16 swap. Will he need to get new hubs or can you use the base model ones. Also on the wiring, you have to hack the base motor harness. You can't use the one from another model because the plugs on the chassis harness are different.

no because it is still d series. but you need to if you go with b series.
however, i would seriously consider switching to a 4th gen Si tranny. i've had 4 dx's before the Si. it's hard to explain but....wow, what a difference a tranny makes! the Si tranny has a better gear ratio.

For the wiring part i don't really know. If his car is a 4spd then YES he has to change the hubs. He will also need new axles from 90-93 integra.

No,you cant use 90-93 Integra axels with the D16Z6. You will have to change the hubs but then just use the D16A6 axels because they will slide right into the Si tranny and also get the Civic/CRX Si hubs, that way everything will fit in just fine. I put the D16Z6 into my CRX so if you have any problems just let me know. I think i can remember back that far. :flipa: :D

sorry..no need to yell. Im not trying to be an ass but your wrong again. He needs to use the 86-89 Integra axels with the 90-93 Integra inner joints if he's doing it on a 88-91 HB. It would be 90-93 integra full axels for a 92+ Civic.;)

If you are going to do a B18A then use the 90-93 Integra axels with the 86-89 Integra outer joints. The reason i say that is because you will probably want your hubs off of a 88-91 Civic/CRX Si because those were originally 5 speed. If you need anymore help let me know.
