Hi,

Anyways, you guys will probably hate me but oh well, sue me! :) Anyways, can anyone say which these three cars are? All of them except for the top right which I'm pretty sure is an Eclipse.

I liked the fast and furious movies as long as they keep giving some credit to the american cars as well. Get tired of watching skylines and civics all the time. Not to sure about the drifting concept though I would of liked to see the series shift back to Vin Diesel or follow the Miami Duo.

The movies are based on Imports to begin with, why should it matter if american cars are there?

It changes things up a bit. I was happy to see the Yenko and the Challenger in the 2nd one..

Seriously tho, the acting and the scriptwork just fucking blow. I'm not some mindless numbnut who drools over cars and will accept anything from the franchise - they seriously need to get better actors and scriptwriters - I know they're are selling to younger and stupider generation (14 - 22 year olds), but cmon folks, this is ridiculous. Oh yeah and why the fuck is Vin Diesel talking about "double clutching" in the first movie? The only double clutching your supposed to do is in a dump truck you dumbasses. They need better Tech writers too. Ahhh and so ends my Rant.

The movie wasn't based solely off of imports it was inspired by a article on street racing in N.Y. which included a few domestic cars(not many)
I have nothing against foreign cars. 2 of my fav cars outside of the firebird are foreign Celica and MX6. But I do get tired of watching skylines and all racing all the time. It is always good to mix things up a bit especially if your going to keep putting out sequells.
Now on a diff note I do agree about the scripts though I thought the script for the 2nd one was a bit better.

TerminalVelocity
03-16-2006, 11:58 PM
the street racing scene here is like that....I doubble clutched, and needed my wheels to spin to get a good launch! That kinda shit. So F&F was pretty good in that sence. Idiots are always there, the few good ones dont stand in the light, they hustle.

aznxthuggie
03-17-2006, 03:38 AM
I agree with most of you guys, I guess it does mix things up a bit. Maybe for the first two, but now (part 3) this is about drifting, i know there are american cars even in D1, but i'll be damned if there are american cars drifting left n right all over this movie. I hope this movie is actually a MOVIE, not some pos car flick that gives a bad name to car (namely imports) enthusiasts everywhere.

Another thing is that they don't seem to have a ranking for their cars. They just have random people driving/racing random cars. I wish they'd do some dam research before they make a movie.

Well judging by the trailer this movie is going to suck hard-core:
http://movies.yahoo.com/feature/thefastandthefurioustokyodrift.html;_ylt=AmFbQJiOL iz2HbwGNg2CdmxfVXcA

Actually I take that back this movie looks like it’s going to be so bad it’s good.

You have to watch the trailer twice. The first time you watch you think the movie is going to flat-out suck. The second time you will realize this is going to be the funniest street racing movie ever.

"If you aint outa contro you aint in control" and "...the tires are slick." Anyone whos done so much as play NFSU can tell you they dont know what the hell they're talking about. That was Lil Bow Wow ir wtf ever his name is too. These movies keep going down...and they started on the ground anyway.

You also got to love how the guy asked “What do you mean drift?”. Like a Mustang owning redneck hasn’t seen a powerslide before coming to Japan.

The one thing that actually does look good about this movie is it looks like there isn’t going to be any of that green screen, CG, crap like the first 2 movies.

03-22-2006, 10:29 PM

I dont know about you guys, but I want to see this movie just because of the drifting.. Also about that redneck remark, honestly not everybody knows wtf drifting is, it isnt exactly the same as power sliding.

One thing I did like was how they will have some crashes in the movie.. now thats going to be sweet.

Edit- One thing that isnt going to be cool is Lil Bow Wow's black ass on the screen, he's a horrible rapper to begin with.

Heres my problem with the whole thread: You all rant and rave about how the F&F "series" is gay/retarded/stupid/the dumbest fucking thing you've ever seen/the worst acting ever/the worlds stupiest premise but then all of us (me included) go out and see the movie and then get online talk about how much it sucked, then go out and buy the DVD, fill it with rice take a picture of it post it on AF (I've seen it more than once), then bitch about howe stupid the next one is going to be, then you go and see 2F2F then the same cycle happens. So who is retarded now? You've spent $19 (9.50 a ticket) to see two movies, then you paid $19.99 a peice to buy the DVDs. Wow what a great protest you just gave them $70 to the people who you say make the dumbest movies ever. We all know how capitolism works you find a way to make money and you continue until that source dries up. If several million people gave me $70 I would keep doing what I was doing. Just admit it, we are all ricers on the inside, it is okay to admit that you like the Fast and the Furious. I know I will go see "Tokyo Drift" on opening weekend. I did the same with 2F2F, and yes I bought the "Tricked Out" BOx Set.

Kinda like Hanson and Backstreet Boys. No one liked them but everyone listened to them. Me though I liked the second one the best, but I don't think I am going to watch this one till someone non-biased gives me a review bout it. Not to sure bout Bow Wow acting and all

The EVO didn’t win the race, it won a game of chicken. It’s the highway race that was BS. Everybody knows an EVO doesn’t stand a chance against a Viper a Corvette and a Mustang Cobra in a highway race.

i like the pace and stuff of the racing, but hate the lack of realism with it. anyone that street races/drifts on the street knowns you do it on deserted roads when there's no risk of someone being around. you dont drive toward oncoming trafic and drift around blind corners into more oncoming traffic.

yes, i bought the first two, and i bitched about them.

I admit it, I went and saw the first two movies opening weekend, but this one I can't do. not because of the horrible acting or ridiculously impossible (and usually deadly) stunts, but because they have slapped Lil Bow Wow in there and thus made me realize I'm too old to be watching this movie. At least not at the theater. I will however rent it on dvd (in like 4 months) because I wanna see these drifting scenes. But I cant be going to the movies and sit in a theater surrounded by dumbass teenagers who believe the shit they're watching on the screen:disappoin
