Steering light up??

Hello all!
Just wondering if anyone could tell me whether the cruise setting, etc. on the steering wheel lights up at night or not. Our truck does, but the Windstar doesn't (1998). We didn't know if it was supposed too and was burned out or was never made to. Any help would be appreciated.

They were never made to on the Windstar. Another one of Ford's brilliant ideas!!!

Mine does not on my '96.
Not real convenient at night......often have hit the wrong button......and not gotten the result that I was looking for.
