Does anyone know if Honda still makes cars with internal interference engine (meaning the valves will touch the pistons when timing belt breaks)? Because I know the 4th gen Civic/CRX are.

Still? I think Honda pioneered the interference engine.

Interference engines are more efficient so non-interference engines are a rarity these days.

And why are you waiting till the timing belt breaks? Change it once every 60k and you won't have to worry about such things. GL

I'm not waiting for it to break, in fact, I don't even own a Honda anymore. Just a question what popped up in my mind, that's all. Thanks for the info.

60k? ha, mine went 204K. Timing belt was still good, blew a piston ring.
