I'm working on a Revell BMW Z8 right now. When I put the assembled interior into the body it doesnt fit well. When I take out the dashboard of the assembled interior and put the interior into the body (minus the dashboard), it fits perfect. i think the dashboard is interferring with something on the body, or when in place, pushes the door panels outward. Has anyone encountered this?

I didn't made this model. but this sound like usually Revell problem. Try to see where exactly it don't fit, and sand down that part until it fit.

I believe now there are two areas that need to be trimmed. First, the dashboard along the windshield base and secondly, where the door panels meet the dashboard. I trimmed this areas last night and it fits better.

yes there is fitment is a problem on this kit.... you have to trim the stud which used to align the rear wheel a bit. Tha's the major area that makes the car doesn't align right. For the dash, u have to use some pretty violent force to push the shell into the dash.... during the process, make sure the interior panel is inside the shell...
I have lowered the Z8 for about 3mm
