Okay heres a question, i bought the car then like a month later i ate up the gears in the tranny so i got one from the junk yard. then i cracked the head cause of over heated and i dont know what else fixed that, then i blew the head gasket causing oil to get into where the spark plugs are at and causin smoke so thick you couldnt see behind you fixed that, then the chip in the distributor went bad fixed that, then the ground for the distrubutor or what ever went loose fixed that, motor mount broke fixed that. all this has happened in less then a year. is my problem that i like to go fast all the time? i do have a heavy foot and the engine has about 200,000 miles on it and i push it hard most of the time i drive it, and i dont plan on letting my foot go light so what should i do? i like the car and am planning on keeping it for quite some time for a hobby any ideas?

cars arn't designed to be pushed to the limit 100% of the time. the ones that are are called profesional race cars. and their engines get rebuilt very often.

try driving it slower, raggin the shit outa the thing is obviously gonna cause wear an tear on the thing, unless you strengthen vital components. the best way to ensure cars, especially some hondas, last is to run them in. since this isnt a new one you cant do that. but it wont benefit from being pushed hard all the time.

You're retahded.

Its like you know what's causing the car to break, you're not happy about it, but you're unwilling to change your habits?!?! Why even bother making a thread about it?!

exactly what SiZ said, you know that you pushing hard is rbeaking the car, but you continue to puch it hard. and then you want to to magically stop breaking, without changing how you drive it. if you dont push it so hard it wont break. simple.

to visualize exactly how you're putting stress on your engine, try this.

find some thread. get about 4 or 5 feet of thread.
find a largeish sized nut.

tie the thread around the nut.
swing that joker around slowly.
start swinging faster and faster and faster until you either are swinging it as hard as you can or the thread breaks.

parts in your engine, though slightly different, share something in common with this nut on a thread. they're constantly moving and changing directions whether that be in a circle or strait up and down. faster and faster movement equals more and more force at each point that the part makes a change in direction no matter how small.

over time, the metal, no matter how well lubricated or how often you change the oil, will begin to eat away at itself until something finally breaks. usually the little stuff goes first, though... belts, alternators, compressors, whatever... but just keep in mind that there is no way to repair the damage you've made without completely rebuilding and replacing everything in your engine.

you can do whatever you like to it, of course. its' your baby.
and with all the work you've had to do with it, i will assume that you're not the first owner and that the previous owner(s) also drove the car hard. it can take a little fun every once in a while, but too much of that shit and you'll be minus one engine.

also increases your chances on getting tickets or crashes, cuz its not like your doin all this hard driving on the track if at all.

ok buddy everyone is giving you shit and what ever. You just have to understand sure hondas have a reputation of taking an abuse but...... listen these cars were built from the factory for ECONMICAL MEANS OF TRANSPORTATION. If you want to go fast and abuse it you need to up grade to components that will tak the abuse. that costs money. This car has 200,000 plus miles and if you keep abusing it you will blow the motor up right way but
but hey it isn't my car no one can tell you what to do. That was my
2 cents
peace out
