i had pin stripes on my car from the factory and i took my drivers license and peeled it off with it then used windex to wipe off the glue which took the wax off too but didnt hurt the paint or clear coat.

get anything like that....a credit card, anything plastic and smooth but flexible so you wont scratch the paint and it comes off pretty easy....the hard part is getting the glue off that took forever

I would use goof off on that. I used goof off to take off tint for widows and it worked great. I also use it to get tar off of my car and it doesnt urt the paint.

I use something called "Sticker Shock" that comes in a small aerosol can. You can get it at Autozone.

heat is good for removing the pinstriping also, like a hair dryer.

use goo gone!!!! NOT goof off. Goo gone is citrus based and goof off is like a weak paint remover. This thread may help you out a little bit. We always have these discussions over at the silvy forum.

take a hair drier and heat it up a bit. that may help too.

you can also use a heat gun...but if you do....be very careful...heatguns in one spot too long and paint dont mix.

I'd go with the goo-gone, I use it at work to remove old tags and tape residue, works pretty good and doesn't damage plastic or paint either.

water and a credit card got stickers off of my car when I bought it, and a decal or two off of my friend's camaro (she didn't want the dealer decal or w/e there)

my thread better not be locked! i will kick your ass for getting it locked
ok, well back to topic, i ended up using a razor blade it came off ok, i also took the body moldings off, but now where hte body molding is, there are some black lines that seem to be into the paint, i tried goo gone over 3 times for each spot let it sit for over 5 mins each time and they didnt even get any smaller. what should i do about them? also i have some minor body damage (it was there when i bought the car) its starting to rust but its also a lil bit dented and what should i do for that in terms of trying to get the dent out then taking car of the rust before it becomes real bad?
