Key stuck in ignition?

Its been two weeks and I cant get it out. I cant lock it because of the key stuck situation, and today someone stole stuff out of my car. So I am a little frusterated. Ive jiggled the wheel, pushed and wiggled the key, I dont know what`s going on... Does anyone out there know whats wrong? Has this happened before? Any advice on what to do would be so apprieciated. Please help me....Thankyou.
