Low oil level??

I have a 97 Sable LS with the DOHC motor, and have never had and problems since i have had it. Bought it at about 77k, now has 90k. I noticed the other day it was about 1/2 quart low. And now 3 days later I am another quart low. I was about due for an oil change so i took it in and had them check for a leak while it was on the lift and nothing. It just seems that if it burning oil, it is burning alot very suddenly. This just started last week, i check my oil level every couple of days and it has never been even a hair low. Anyone else had this problem, or know if it is common on the 3.0 dual cam??

Sounds like you've got a head or intake gasket leak. oil is leaking into your coolant. check the color of your coolant, it should be bright green. if it is muddy in color, your gasket is shot. get it to a garage soon, as this can ruin your motor if not fixed.

i checked my coolant and it looked good.
