Is there a way to completely remove the transmission without removing the engine? I've heard to just drop the subframe via removing 4 bolts, but I'm afraid the engine will not be supported enough without it. I have the tranny completely disconnected (I need a new one, BAD) and everything set to be replaced. I just need to actually remove the bad tranny from the engine bay. Any suggestions, or is removing the subframe a good idea? This is a manual, btw. Thanks in advance.

hmm.. I dont have access to the page. Well, I took the thing to a garage anyway. I'm getting tired of always throwing new parts on this car. I would junk it but it's the only car I have and hey, I just CAN'T get rid of a 5 speed!
