battery light

I put a new battery in and two days later the light came on again,so i thought it was the alternator but the alternator is putting out 14 amps so i dont know what the problem is can somebody help?

14 amps at idle or under load? on the car or bench test? that seams low. stock alternator output rangs from 85-96 or so depending on year. also inspect the belt and positive battery cable
