1.what make of automotive DVOM ( digital volt ohm meter) do you use ?
2. do you have a test lead set for front/ rear probing electrical connectors ? ..and who makes it ? where did you get it ?
3. where is the best place on the net to buy test equipment ?

I have 3
Fluke 87, Fluke 88 and a Perception ocilliscope
The 87 is a true RMS meter and all of GM service information is written around it.
The 88 reads RPM
and the ocilliscope does everything the other 2 do plus has a scope pattern I can look at
Test probes
I hava a J35616C-test kit comes with all the GM approved probes for circuit testing and a 20 ohm test lamp.
The important thing to understand about circuit testing is that the terminals will distort if you use the wrong or no test probe.
toolwarehouse is where I purscase a lot of test equipment

GMMerlin I will most deffinately check out toolwarehouse. Did you get your test leads there ? I am hip about the deformation of the connectors and disturbance of insulation on weather pack connectors...etc I have a scope also , it is a Tektronix 468, 100mhz,
unfortunately it is not a DSO. Your Avatar is that some sort of chevy firetruck with pumping equipment on the front ?

No test leads came direct from GM...kit will set you back about 4 bills.
Yes that is a Chevrolet/Howe firetruck with a front mount pump.
So you're from K-Town...I used to kick the crap out of the punks from Einstein back in the day...oh the memories... :evillol:
Cruising Aspen Hill with the boys from Douglas Speed....good times :p
