Hello
I'm having problems with dash & radio lights. Sometimes I have varying brightness in radio lights, but seem to have no dash lights at all. It's my wife's car,so I really need to fix them! Any help? PLEASE!
Thanks RCR

I have the same problem and because my car is an ex-cruiser I was wondering if it could be the "surveilance mode" switch. This switch disables all lights on the vehicle both inside and out so the car can be driven /entered/and exited with no background light to give away the officers position. When I press this button from surveilance to normal mode my odometer and radio light up momentarily and then fade go out.
There is also a sensor somewhere on these cars which turn the lights on at night.
Could either of these be the problem?

My impala does the same thing...and after searching around and trying to figure out what it was...i found it, it's the headlight switch, if you turn the knob like you were going to turn on the interior lights; you have to tinker with it and twist the knob a little bit until the dashlights come back on. I noticed it will only act up when it's dark outside and when the headlights come on automatically. Let me know if this helps...

Survalince mode switch. - Disable's...
Daytime Running Lights
Reverse-Lights
All Interior Dash Lights Including Odemeter.
(Brake Lights do still work)

You however can still use headlights by turning them on, the dash lights will light up, but the Odemeter will not if Surv. Mode is still on.
