but here are my thoughts as a MS fan. It wasn't nice, it wasn't pretty, but it probably was the right thing to do. I just hope Michael repays his debt in the latter part of the season.

But boy do I hate all this hysteria. It's been done before, most of us felt that's what's was going to happen. This is motor racing. Yes, racing. And if the other teams are not good enough to challenge Ferrari and prevent them from using team orders in such a way, why blame Ferrari? If there had been another car form some other team challenging Rubens or at least splitting the scarlets it wouldn't have happened.

So in short, I don't care. This is what it takes to win. We'll see what happens later.

It is a slap in the face to any driver who has put in his all to win a race. When it comes down to it, auto racing is all about the thrill of victory. Where was the thrill in that? And I can guarantee you if that had been a Williams 1-2, and they were closer in the standings, or even in Ferraris position right now, that would have never happened. If I were Rubens, I would have stood up for myself and accelerated past M.S.

One more thing. The commentators on Speed mentioned that if the championship came down to Michael winning by 3 pts., this might look like a brilliant move. I agree, however I don't think the drivers title will mean as much in such an instance.

Rubens will win more races. Shumacher may be the better driver, but the F2002 is better suited to Barrichellos driving.

Guys, you have to understand one more thing. The last race was never a race between the two cars. Both of the drivers were not allowed to push hard, so MS was never allowed to try and catch / overtake RB. We don't know what would have happened. Remember who's got the fastest lap.

Oh, and as for qualifying, look at the times. Rubens was able to improve over a second over his morning time. Michae was slower by 0.3 sec. So there must have been a problem. I have a feeling he would have been faster in the race than Rubens if he had been allowed to race.

I don't think J.V. can win with BAR. He should admit his mistake and move on.

they might not in this year, but i'm pretty sure Honda will focus more on their Formula 1 status more when they pull out of Champ Car racing next year

that's what i thought...it seemed MS was deliberately not going 100% b/c he was consistently at least 3 seconds behind RB

If M.S. wasn't going 100%, why not save yourself from the PR nightmare and calmly let him overtake Rubens on the 50th lap or in the pits. I think that is a bunch of crap. Rubens outdrove Michael in Austria. Why in he!! would you let Rubens lead the entire race, knowing in the last 100 yards he would have to slow down to let M.S. by, thus tarnishing Ferrari's image.

And why not? Ferrari had the capacity to do so, they have such a big advantage machinery-wise that it doesn't matter to them who leads the race. Didn't you have the feeling that they were driving in formation? I did. They just made an honest team order to drive till the end without pushing and make sure that MS finishes in front.

I'm sure Michael would have preferred to stay second this time, but it wasn't his decision.

It seems to me that all of you are angry not BECAUSE it was done, but because of HOW it was done. I just wish Ferrari drve 110% in Monaco and lap everyone .... at least twice and I mean it.

me too...this is my first time watching monaco

Looks like that didn't happen...congrats to DC and McLaren. If this type of stuff happens for the second half of the season, this year should get better...hopefully.
