I suppose it would depend if you mean fog lights that come standard on LS/SS models or just adding those aftermarket ones. Aftermarket ones would be a fairly simple task. The previous would require essentially a new front bumper.

the base model comes with a harness already attached under bumper just need to hook up some lights and a switch and you're good to go.

Shows what I know =P. I had someone clip the bumper on the LS, I should start calling that Impala the death trap. Gah.

cool thing about the base models are that since they wanted to speed up production they have a lot of the same cool extra stuff that you just need to hook up. I got a new gauge cluster with fuel, coolant temp, speed, and a tach. Nothing extra to hook up just plugged the sucker right in.

Hey Pat what year is your car, I so want to do that(new cluster with Tach and Etc. ) to mine. How much did it cost and where did you get it from?? Does anyone have a photo of their fog lights that they installed. Thanks Matt

i installed some in my impala in the little hole think on the bottom of the bumper..i had to fabricate a little bracket and attached it to the metal beam. I didn't want to mount them with the plastic because there is no metal above it, just syrofoam. if you attach it to the plastic, then the light bounces and you don't get good light. It was a little bit of a pain in the ass only because there is really no room underneath it to crawl around. It was worth it to me.

I have some I can take better ones if you need them but this should give you a good idea of where the stock fog lights should go

yeah those are stock fog lights, if you are like me and you don't have the LS bumper, you can't just simply put aftermarket lights or stock lights like that without having to replace the whole bumper.
People who don't have the LS bumper are asking about where they can put aftermarket lights because you really dont' have a choice on where you can put them....

I agree, good to know. I'd much rather have a tach then a fuel guage the size of texas =D
