Its time for Bush to go, and some one else to be the president :). By the way, when is Bush suppost to leave ? Oh and I though the war in Iraq was gonna bring gas prices down a little, wtf they went up ?? I suggest everyone, sponsor that kid somewhere in AF forums that said he could find alternative fuel for small donations:).

BMW made a hydrogen car that is i think the 7 series, there trying to make hydrogen cars to be made soon... i saw it in a magizine ther sport hydrogen car... the tempeture in the engine bay was -328 Degrees... they said the problem with the car so far is that the engine bay needs to become smaller, it was basically the engine and 2 seats, but i guess it did the 1/4 in 12.39 i think which is ovbiosuly very good in general... i'll try to find that mag

The world fucking sucks. I paid 2.99 this morning and it went up more this afternoon and I am in the middle of nowhere in northern mn. I think its time to fill the tires and check the brakes... on my bike. This shit is rediculous. (sp?) Before we started getting raped on gas, $10 could give me a little more than 1/2 tank. Today I put in $12 and got 3/8 of a tank. Yeah, hydrogen cars are coming, but probably not for a while. If we were to get the hydrogen from electrolysis, we would need the amount of water that flows over Nygra falls in 3 months to meet one days energy needs (I'm pretty sure anyway, but its a huge amount of water for not a lot of hydrogen). Anyone that really knows me knows that I want to make cars look pretty or fast for a living. On a more practical note, I want to become a Mechanical Engineer and if possible, work on the hydrogen cars. Oh well, still have a year to figure that shit out.

In Fargo it's $2.69 if you can find it. I searched for a while driving around, most places it's $2.89.
I read somewhere, in the newspaper I think, that SUVs and trucks could be up to 66% more economical. Instead of getting 8 mpg they could be getting up 15-20, but Bush and Congress passed bills that said they could make them as uneconimical as they wanted.
Where do you think Bush gets all his money to run for office? Big Business

Yup..this morning I saw the cheapest was 2.999 for 87 octane... frickin nuts!!!
As for the gas prices... what the media has been talkin is that the demand for gas is higher than what the refineries can put out....
I got one of those "spam" type emails saying nobody should buy gas on 9/1/05...if everyone in the US pulled together and didn't buy gas today it would put a big dent in the supply/demand and would probably drop the prices a bit... I even heard that hawaii is putting a "gas cap" on fuel at $3.... that would be nice if all states would follow...
I don't know what is worse for me... Gas hog 87oct. 98 jeep grand cherokee or a turbo dsm.....

The reason that gas prices are so high along the east coast is that most of the oil/gas comes through Louisiana. It is pumped through 2 5000 mile pipelines all over the east coast. Neither of these pipelines are working (one is damaged and the other has no power). These pipelines carry about 2,700,000 barrels of oil every day
Also, 2 of the refineries located in the gulf were severly damaged during the hurricane, so that didn't help either, as the country was already unable to keep up with demand.
Here, in central PA, premium (93 octane) was $2.79 yesterday morning, $3.19 last night and $3.55 this morning. They are expecting it to go up another $0.45 to $0.50 again today and I need gas. I normally put 94 octane in the Spyder, but this is getting crazy. :disappoin

Southern Wisconsin is $3.15 for 87 octane. I have actually seen 2 gas stations now in the last 3 weeks downgrade the octane rating on premium from 93 to 92, and still charge the same. Premium was pushing $3.35. If you live in the larger cities, it gets closer to $3.50+ for regular ass 87 octane. This sucks. It's getting harder and harder to make the decision to drive the 1 1/2 hour drive home every weekend from school. Atleast I was getting about 35 mpg on interstate last time I checked.

Hey guys, I was thinking since 2 of my best friends are getting fast bikes, I wanna get one too. I know how to ride one. Gas wouldnt be a problem :) One of em is getting it for about 10 grand its a Busa and its pretty tight, but he's been on bikes forever. I was thinking of something smaller, CBR or F4i. Any one here know something a little about bikes. I dont need something extremly fast since I wanna live a few more years, but its getting boring around here so we are making a little fast bike gang :) And what kind of insurence should I expect ? around $300 a month for a 19 year old ?
Atleast I would save a few bucks on gas.

Isn't it funny that NOW all the people that mocked the prius, etc as "tree hugger" cars are going to be getting one. All the stupid govmt officials and companies that stood in the way of increased gas mileage (which is VERY easy to do especially on SUVs/trucks and the technology has existed for years) should be castrated. Other countries have been moving ahead with other technologies while the U.S. just keeps coming out with dumbass huge SUVs that get 8 miles to the gallon. Good job.

Yeah, it wouldn't have anything to do with the fact that 2 pipelines that carry 1/3 of the nations gas are not functioning. :shakehead
Or maybe the fact that we have lost about 12% of our ability to refine crude into gas. Not like we had enough refineries to begin with.
By the way, wasn't Bush the one that wanted to start drilling in Alaska???

The thing that pisses me off the most is all of the other countries. Every time something happens to another country, we're the first ones to help. When the tsunami hit we sent aid, troops, health care, and a whole shit-load of money.
When a huge disaster happens in America, we have to fend for ourselves. I haven't heard of any other countries sending us a dime of aid. BS

Here in northeast Ohio premium is $3.50 a gallon. Theres been lots of talk about people that are gonna start stealing their gas. Has the government not put any thought into people rioting or a raise in gas theft?
I heard today that they were gonna put a lock on gas sales. Pretty much that they wanna ration the gas out so people can only get so much in such an amount of time... Can they even do that? Because if they were to do something like that, they would cause an economical downfall in this country. Trucking companies would be ruined, and the common man that has to do a lot of traveling would be forced out of a job. Heck, I used to spend about $60 a week to travel to school and work. Now, I'm done with school, I can't imagine how much it would cost now.

Wow someone who still likes bush...granted a president does not control every aspect of a country he does on the other hand have control over sending our country to war, i thought we were at war for oil, no wait it was wmds, or ah... huisein did some bad stuff...oo i know we're spreading democracy thats it. Why did it take 5 fucking days to get water to people in new orleans? cause the fucking president didn't work fast enough, Congress met on wednesday, two days later. When Terri Shivo (sp) had her feeding tube pulled, bush called an "emergency" session of congress that night!! (btw it was a sunday night on a holiday weekend too). 3.89 here for 91 octane... Allentown, PA. I tanked up last nigth when it was 2.99 for 93. They were sold out of 87 + 91 at the time..
A guy pulled up next to me and goes they prolly aren't selling the cheap stuff cause they want to make a profit.. and I go it's 2.99 here for the expensive stuff. Go down a block it's already around 3.20 for the 87. Get it while you can. Mind you he didn't believe me drove down the street and back to fill up his 2 tank trunk before I left the parking lot. Thanked me for setting him straight. I was amused...

In Chicago gas prices are about $3.85. I live on the edge of the city, so I usually travel to the subburbs to fill up. Less than a mile, and Im usually there anyway. The other nite, my mom told me to top off because gas was going thru the roof. Went around to gas stations, and the BP in the city was at 3.09. The suburbs were at 3.29. Filled up and not making stupid trips or cruising anymore.
On a side note, at Best Buy today we had a meeting, and in it we talked about the huricane. BB is donating 4 million to the relief funds, has instore donations where you can make at the registers, and then all the money we make from having like gynm-shoe day and stuff like that goto the cause. There are 6 stores that still have over 10ft of water in them, and even more without power yet. They've all been louted(sp?). There are also 10 workers from the company still missing. BB also is continue to pay their workers who are not able to work bc of this. They're still getting checks with their average amount of pay. That's awesome what they've been doing. Great company. Gas sucks
