93-97 V8 is an LT1 98-02 its an LS1, just to clear it up. Also whats wrong with posting? Its all good, better than some parts of these forums where its a death valley.

Wait wait wait...i never said anything about posting being a bad thing..I think its a good thing. I just said that in some other forums, like it takes forever for people to post something so that being said I think that posting is a very good thing...and thanks for clearing up about the LS1 and LT1. Any ways..im not sure what he's going to do..now he's thinking about keeping the camaro he has and getting a jeep because he loves going mudding. So i have no clue..I'll leave that one up to him. lol

I know what she means. Over at thirdgen.org, they barely respiond to your posts sometimes, but here, us bo-zo's are always on to help the needy or agrivate one another. Formula, that kit is really good for the price, would it work with my car aswell, i was looking into getting some ignition stuff, but that there is very good for the pirce.

if he wants a TJ (96-present, round headlights) lifted with big ol tires on it, tell him to buy one that is close to what he wants cause it's way more expensive to do it yourself and it kills resale value. if he want a YJ(before-95, square headlights, like mine) tell him to look into a spring over axle conversion, if he's good with tools and a welder he can get from 8 to 12 inches of lift for like 300-600 dollars depending on what he's looking for
edit: also if he wants to go offroad, it'll be a lot more fun in 6cyl than 4 banger. and if he goes the YJ route be cautious of the peugot tranmissions, they can have a lot of problems. if you get one though make sure it shifts pretty easy and make sure that there's not very much if any grinding when you try to get it in a gear.

Well despite some of you not liking his car and being this is from the firebird forum this guy http://www.schwartzperformance.com/ygen.htm is definetly a contender
the only thing that guy really has on me is the nitrous... i have very very similar mods to him... both running small blocks, even tho his has more displacement i think we both put out about the same at the flywheel... plus him and i both have 3.42 gears...

I heard ferrari's only have around that number horsepower too.
BTW- one of my buddies has a jeep (YJ i believe) with a ford v8 in it. That thing is pretty mean.. Course it also has an air horn that will make you go deaf.

that's so f-ing random that it's halarious. jeeps with v8 are pretty nasty off road though. me and a couple guys i go muddin with play this game where we roll all the windows down and for 5 minutes, whoever has the least mud on them at the end wins, and everyone else buys beer and/or white lightning(my fav choice). i've got the boggers, but my friend's got a bronco with a big block so it's about even. if i had the money for a v8 swap right now i'd be tearin that bronco a new one.

Hey all...well my boyfriend has a jeep now..(as well as his camaro) its a 92 jeep cherokee laredo. He wants something that he doesnt have to keep working on..he's really good like with all that mechanical stuff but he has been doing it for a while and he's sick of it now. He just had to buy a new muffler, radiator, rear main, oil pump, he put 5% tint on it and theres more to come...he says that its going to need a new motor soon which isnt good but oh well...thats what ya get for paying $900 for a jeep i guess... so basically the story is that he was going to sell his jeep and buy another camaro or a newer jeep but he couldnt decide on wether he liked the mud or the speed better so he's keeping his jeep, putting a 4 or 5 inch lift on it (dnt know the tire size) and hes just going to invest his money in the jeep so this way he can go muddin and still have his camaro. Ill see if i can figure out how to put a picture of the jeep on here..its nice looking for only $900....
Sarah....p.s..thanks guys and gals.

oooo, you meant suv jeep. i thought you meant like a wrangler. don't know much about cherokees, cept some have V8's and some don't. is he sure he wants it that high, they look pretty top heavy when they start to get up around 5in? is he gonna do it all through a suspension lift of a body lift?
