passlock

my 2000 impala has been not starting off and on. the security light flashes intermittingly and after awile it will start. taken it mechanic and couldn't find anything wrong. i would like to solve this if anyone has answer it would be greatly appreciated.

do u have the chip-key? my 95 lumina did that, it was the key's chip...new key, no problem...

i had the same problem. It was the chipless key. Have your dealer go further into the history codes. Thats what mine did and it said that my ignition was tampered with, because of the chipless key. The lesson is, DO NOT buy a key copy because you do not want to spend the 5 dollars for a real chevy key!

iv gotton my impala to start with a cheap kmart key before

you had to play with it a little though.
