i have a 03 windstar need to install a tranny cooler. has any one ever done it? is it very hard? i was looking at the plate style fron summit racing $40 bucks or so. thanks

I installed the Derale 17.500GVW cooler on my '96.
I have a section of 3/8" hose on each line going from the bottom driver side of the radiator to the lines that go to the tranny. I worked with those lines. They made a number of changes between '96 and '03....so your's will be somewhat different. I will say that it is a very good idea to add the extra cooler. You will want to install it so that the fluid flows from the transmission, to the factory cooler in the radiator, through the cooler that you are adding, and then, back to the transmission.
