for being conservatives sake, i dont really wanna be banned by spewing unnecessary gestures in a photo, cuz i was almost banned numerous times, and one can never know what it takes.

They would look great if the car was just a little lower.

The wheels are ok...but I'd rather have a nice set of 2 or 3 piece deep dishes with a black or diamond black wheel and polished lip.

From a neutral 3rd person perspective view, there really isn't that much in the pictures to identify you so I'd have more pictures of yourself and the car on the ready. I can't tell what the license plate says, is it a Canadian license plate? Perhaps a sign saying "I'm TURBOTIME, THIS IS MY SUPRA" will please the masses. Anyway, we'll see how this turns out.

Well I was just thinking you did this to show people it was your supra and shut the nay-sayers up right? I just want to help and I'm thinking you'll receive a lot of the responses you've received in the past without something to identify you.

Cool, I believe you, for what it is worth. I wouldn't use that 5 speed tranny for too long though, as i'm sure it isn't strong enough to deal with what that engine is capable of. Nice looking car though.

I believe the supra uses the same getrag transmission as the LS1, Viper, and GTO use. I'd check with a supra tuner to make sure. If you buy anything w/ supra on it, it will cost you a fortune, for whatever reason. I know the gearing is different between the LS1's and the Supra. I'm not too sure if it would fit, but here is a link anyways:

I was under the impression that hte Skyline used a getrag, but the Supra used a Bog Warner

The MkIV Supra uses the getrag v160 and v161. The N/A uses a slightly beefed up version of the MkIII w58.

Yah, I live in hagersville/ohsweken area. it is a law, I was pulled over for not having it on because you need plates front and back. Mine sits securely in my dash :smokin:

My bad Luos. I thought for sure the T56 was made by Getrag. Does the Viper use the Getrag or the T56, and what does the vette use????? In any event, go to a pick a part Turbotime. Mayhaps you'll have better luck there, cause on ebay they had a tranny for sale for like $4K. That seems kinda pricey for a tranny to me, even if it is for a supra.

Time to play the If I game...

If I had a TT Supra, already with the 6 speed, and 4k sitting around...exhaust, downpipe, Frontmount, OAE Intake, BOV,turbo timer and MBC, safely run about 18-20psi on stock turbos...that would be good for me for now. Sure, I'd be at the bottom of the Supra food chain, but faster than most everything around here.

All plates in Ontario have to be placed front and back (as u know) but in Nova Scotia only the back plate is required by law...I think Albertas the same

Tremec six-speed. But it's modified to be more like a transaxle on Vettes due to lack of room up front near the bay. They have a torque tube that runs from the engine to the rear of the car where the transmission is, and since it's placed back by the rear wheels it's considered a rear mounted transmission not necessarily a transaxle perse'.

I like the supra and you seem like a decent person, so I believe you. And just do some research to decide on your own what you want to do with that $4500.

also something that doesn't quite add up I just noticed... Believe me, a middle finger out in the air is much less offensive than the big 'FUCK YOU AF' hovering over that picture but if both the middle finger and the FUCK YOU AF worked in correlation with each other then the masterpiece would complete itself.

Don't get upset over us AF anal internet detectives, just understand we've dealt with a lot of people who made up the car they drive and we're quite used to picking out the inconsistencies within every picture and piece of information. Sucks that things got mixed up for you at the start but eventually when you get your story straight and pics that supply enough evidence, you'll have the approval you seek.
