Sudden cooling loss compressor knockin a bit low side 60-100 high side 120-140. replacing compressor w/new, filt/dry/acc, orifice for front evap. orifice filter prety clogged w/ alum. debris. Will flush entire system before reassembly. a few questions

How real is need to replace condensor? Can I not flush it if i remove? Someone told me I could use alcohol for flush instead of expensive flush agent? No one at parts store could tell me about exp device for rear evap but now found exp. valve on rear evap. Should I replace exp valve? Someone in formum mentioned u tube filter?? near rear evap. haven't found one yet?

Any other comments from those w/ this experience would be helpfull as I've heard lot's of horror stories about windstar AC failures and difficulty getting one going again, black death, etc.

thanks

As far as the Condensor you can flush it with alcohol. I heard of this, but if you get alot of junk comming out, go ahead and replace it. Better safe than sorry.. Keep in mind you may need compressed air for this task.. make sure its filtered from the compressure.
