yea that one i saw modded put 330 to the ground with a better intake, flowmasters, a little shot of nitrous and stock tune. change the shot to a 150 get the tune right and that's gonna be some serious power

3.4?! nooooooooo. 95 1/2 thru 2002 was all 3.8.

What do I have done to it? 160* thermostat, z28 takeoff springs and shocks, LT1 disc/lim slip/3.42 rear, Magnaflow 3" cat and catback, SLP cold air intake, custom tuning, poly tranny mount, and soon poly torque arm bushing. In the works are headers, subframe connectors, strut tower brace, and LCAs.
Also some weight reduction and audio.

Stock 3.8's are mid 15s, so im hopefully in the 14s somewhere. Also stock puts an estimated 160hp to the wheels and 200ish tq to the wheels (200 hp/225 tq at the flywheel)... hopefully im putting at least the stock flywheel power to the ground now, maybe a little more??

Actually your 3.8 is pushing 200 Bhp stock. Sounds like your car is pretty badass dude.

Puttin in work 97CamaroRs, thats awesome. I need to hurry up and get a magnaflow catback soon, i need some more noise coming out the back. Sounds good coming fromthe motor, but the stock pipes out back make it silent. The mods i plan to do before winter hits are, new springs and shocks, an LT1 magnaflow catback, LT1 cam, 1.6 rollers rockers, new valve springs, and i think thats it.

It's temporary thing, until i go full rebuild or swap. Getting it for relatively cheap, plus it'll teach me 101 on changing cams.

damn i was gone too long...first off im sure i was wrong about the 05 mustang numbers the v6 now has 220 or 30 hp which is a big gain from 190, and the gt didnt pick up much from the last year. a stock ls1 should be able to get up on a 05 gt. and yes the new cobra is said to be bad assed but we still need to see this car in real life, im sure when it goes into production it wont be as fast as they said it will be, and last my mustang friend got that damn roush hes been talking about, and i just got a 01 ls engine out of a friends wrecked vett so the swap will be going into effect in the next month ( still need the 6 speed tranny) and i hate to say it but he's gonna get his ass handed to him by me ( im gonna tape that race by the way) and the engine will be stock going into my car. untill the cobra hits the market with the numbers they said it will have those new mustangs arent much better than the last years ones. they get smaked all the time around here, hell ive heard older stang owners talking about how they kill them so its no biggy, same car different body, hell my moded v6 could get up on one seeing they run close without me spraying.

man im a poor pimp, i just happen to be in the right places at the right time. today i went to the shop becuase like i said i broke my baby so i needed to get her running so i could drive her, and a guy i know who happens to be loaded told me that his best friend just wrecked is 04 z06. he told me if i give him 3200 its mines...1200 miles on it lol....i told him ill think about it because i was working out a deal with this other guy who has a ls6 and 6 speed tranny 4 sale with everything i need for 6k, with 40,000 miles on it. so he gave me the keys to his vett and told me to take it for a spin to get an idea of what i would be getting. i know we have a weight difference an all but after i got back with his car he had a deal. paying for the engine 2morrow, looking for a tranny, and the swap will take place in sept. sometime. cant wait to get pics posted u guys should love it. its gonna cost me doing this swap but by feb, the new cam, exhaust, headers and the nitrouse will be hooked up ( and u know the forged internals will be in affect once more!) im hyped like a crazy man right now im gonna be killing fools left and right in my lt1 body v6 with a vett engine...i cant wait.

Not a ton of weight difference man. You might be 200-250 pounds heavier. That new motor won't weigh anymore than the stock V6 either.

Yours being a V6 model is even lighter than mine.
Mine is around 3500, yours should be around 3350.
Vette is around 3100.

The new Stang puts down 255hp at the wheels.... the '99-'04 Stangs are putting down 230hp at the wheels. I'd say there is a little difference there. And personally I think 255rwhp is not bad at all. Stock LT1s are only doing around 230 at the wheels.

i went down to one of the ford dealerships in town and they had a ford gt there, i got to talking with one of the sales guys about the new shelby's. he told me that their hp numbers were close to 500. i'm not sure if he was telling the truth or not since the gt its self is rated at 500hp. i've had some bad experiences with car sales people and the truth so i'm not putting too much into what he's saying

really? i was just thinking that the guy was just blowin smoke. that gt is so freakin awesome though to see in person, i'd hate to drive the thing all day though, there is like absolutly nothing between the front seats the and engine, you can reach back and touch the supercharger. if one of those hoses busts then who ever is in the car is gonna get cooked. i've read that the thing goes from like 0-60 in like 3.1 seconds, 0-100 in about 7 some seconds, and 0-150 in 11 some seconds, crazy fast

nah they had a recall the expeditions too. my dad bought one and they recalled it because it could catch fire at any time. the problem was that normally when you stop the speed on the cruise conrtol is reset. with the new cars that speed setting stayed stored even with the car off, so it could overheat at anytime and catch fire. it was a simple fix though, just take it to the dealer and a few hours later it's done.
