help - need radio code for 2K Montero sport

HELP !

I have a 2000 montero sport LS.

my battery died and the radio is asking for the code. I bought the car used and do not have the card with the code on it.

I managed to take out the CD/radio and have the following details:

Model # 34U0068 or U068
Serial # 9X264022A

other numbers i found on the cd player:

MR490089
DY-2U05W

Also any idea what the circular din conector on the CD player is for ?

Did you find the code ? I have the same question. could you help me please ?

Any dealer has the codes. Some are nice and will tell you without any charge. Other's aren't so nice.
