Hi all, been on the Aurora forum for a problem there, now to my daughters car.... :(
If there is another thread for this, please direct me to it. I searched but could not find one.
the daytime running lamps (DRL) won't work anymore. The Hi Beams work as theye share the same lamps/sockets. I checked the DRL fuse link under the hood and it is ok. There is a relay that I have to go to the dealer for. Also, the small green indicator lamp on the dashboard next to the speedometer does NOT light up either.
Is there a sensor somewhere - either a light sensor and / or one on the shift lever to tell the car/computer when it is in DRIVE?
thanks in advance....
Brian

try swapping the DRL relay with another know good system (Fog lights, rear def, A/C) see if the problem follows the relay, if it does pick up a new relay at a junk yard(much cheaper)
i beleave the DRL system is also dependent of the E-brake switch

thanks for the info. How do those relays come out? Just pull them? I am sure that the parking brake lever switch is located around the lever, inside the car?
thanks

they just pull out, but they can be a pain some times
the switch is under the center console, but if the dash light is working normally, then it shouldn't be the problem.
