I would dust your cav with my Grand cherokee (318), my 5th gen celi, or my 98 talon ... with your shot ... and street racing all be it illegal must be done sometimes to put those kids in there place who give all of us bad names tossing giant wings on cars that don't go fast enough to need them, making there cars sound like chainsaws, you know the who im talking about.

nice man i sooo need to get nos. For one i cant afford to get my cav like decked out cause im 17 lol. but i can afford nos :). But the thing is i street race 24/7 i really go to cities at 1:00 till 4:00 AM lookin for races 90% of the races start by gettin next to them at a stoplight. but eny wayz. using a half stocked cav vs like a srt or somthing would be funny to see if they lost. from u using nos. i dont think it oculd beat a srt4 with nos? but yeah haha. Cause SRT4's SUCK. With out there turbos there worthless. cause i had about 10 car lengths while he was burning tires still. then he got me onc ehe got moving then his damn turbo et started kickin in.

but ya lol dose nos hurt your car? cause im really! thinkin about gettin some nos in mine just for back up haha. and the new EVO IS WICKED FAST haha. Even Stock its WICKED. if ney one buys a new car id say screw it and buy that haha.

i agree dude...i love making a guy in a civic or integra drop a duce in their pants when they pull up with 18' rims and a rice can exhaust and they think they have me till i start "toying" with them and when its all over they have a dropped jaw asking "damn man..whats in that thing?" and the hood opens and shows whats up

I took out a 96-97 v6 stang yesterday. Those things are slow. Didn't even use the spray. But it had street glow, so maybe that slowed it down a little.

yesterday i was coming out of a state recreational area, and right after you leave the park you go down about a mile and a half stretch of road, anyways this jackfuck that had been riding my ass for maybe a minute or 2 before hand decided to pass me once we got on that strech of road, i pulled it back into 2nd gear (5 speed) and just gave it hell, i dont what this guy was driving, it was purple, it looked kinda like a geo prizm from the early 90's, im not exactly sure what the hell it was, anyways i caught up to him pretty quicly but couldnt pass him, his front end stayed about 2 feet ahead of my front end the entire way, i was pissed, id basically lost to this piece of shit purple geo lookin thing, anyways we got the end of the road, he turned one way, i turned the other, so then im driving down this next road just talking about this race with my passenger and neither of us could believe i just lost to THAT, about 5 minutes later i'd realized something and thought OH SHIT, my air conditioner was on

I've noticed air making quite a bit of difference for some reason. But only at lvl 2 or above.

EXACTLY!!!!......at least someone knows the capabilities of a cavalier compared to a friggin Geo

so theres only 3 possible reasons...1 that car was pumped up..2-your cars broken...3-you suck at stick

or 4) there was confusion between the gas pedal and the brake on his behalf

i couldnt agree more about the air, and yeah, i know i SHOULD have beat a geo even with the air on but come on, i drive a 2200 with its only mod being a warm air intake, not exactly rocket fast...

I'm sorry but if the ac is going to cause you to lose to a 3 cyclinder car you really need to think about either one not even trying to racing anything or 2 getting a new car. That is sad. Do you realize that you are sitting here saying i lost to a GEO because my AC was on.

thats what ive been trying to say to him, wether or not your airconditioning is on, its still a geo and you still should have won...and when i drive full out and turn the ac on i dont feel a power loss...i see more of a difference in rpms at the speed i was traveling at.

The power difference with the AC on is quite noticeable. When heading through the Coquihalla hi-way in the mountains up a very very steep pass we were doing 70km/h with the accelerator to the floor AC On. By turning off the AC we slowly accelerated up to 100km/h.

Yesterday I did the normal hard driving on a straight road with the ac on, turned around and did it with it off. Then I launched with it on and turned it off have way through power band in 2nd gear, and started with it off and turned it on about half way through power band in 2nd gear. I did all that with one of my friends with me and once with him out. When I turned the AC on, it did give a little jolt, but went right back to normal. I didnt see any significant power loss or gain when the AC was off or on. If your friend wasnt in the car and you didnt have the AC on you MAYBE would have gotten them.

Why doesn't someone do it with a stop watch? A/C on and off? See how much of a difference it really is. Also try it going up a hill! huge diff with the torque loss.

lol the attention i have gotten, first of all, you dont drive a 98 cavalier 2200 5 speed with 83000 miles on it so you dont know exactly how its gonna drive, who knows, i could be running on only 2 cylinders, my fuel filter could have 8 pounds of shit in it, you dont know if my car had 3 300 pound passengers in it, (it didnt but YOU dont KNOW that), you also dont know if that geo had a 3 or 4 cylinder, or any aftermarket performance modifications, there are too many things to consider here and i think quite a few of you have gotten to "into" this thread, just let it go man, i feel with what i know about my car, and how it drives, i honestly think i would have won with my a/c off, if you wanna keep arguing about it go ahead, but your not gonna get anywhere by just insulting me and making fun of me, if you wanna voice your opinion on how much difference YOUR a/c makes, i'd love to hear it, but seriously guys, you have actually taken time out of your day to insult me and make fun of me, im assuming you all have drivers licenses which means you should (keyword: SHOULD) be mature enough not to constantly make fun of someone for losing to a geo, (especially someone on the internet, someone you dont know and will never meet) its not like im denying losing to a geo or anything, im just saying shit, let it go man
