Front Rotor Replacement? Need Help....

I have quite the vibration from the front brakes so it's time to replace the rotors. I last did the brakes just under a year and a half ago and just had a couple of quick questions before I tear into it.

As far as I can recall there should be four bold holding on the caliper. Once that is removed what else is holding on the rotor?

I think there is a nut on centre of the rotor, but can't remeber for sure or what size it would be. Does anyone know what size it is off hand?

Once that nut is off it is remove and replace, correct? Not much else to do except scuff the pads a little bit? I am sure there is plenty of pad as I checked a month or so ago when the vibration had just started and there was plenty at that time.

Thanks...

yea the nut on mine was 36mm i had to take it off to swap the axle out. You don't have to take the center nut off if your just changing rotors. There are two bolts holding the caliper to the car and 2 bolts holding the the top of the caliper in place. http://home.comcast.net/~carolynod/100_0536.jpg

Yea, I didn't think the large nut had to come off.... I just hadn't done it in so long I couldn't remember.

The other two bolts at the top of the caliper won't need to be removed correct? I am not changing the pads as they are still good.

Should I replace the rears as well, or do the fronts first and see if the vibration all goes away?

Thanks for the info, I'll be tackling the fronts this evening.

just try and do the front brakes first, thats where most of your stopping power is. The rear brakes don't seem to wear so fast. Also yea i would reccomend taking the pads off and cleaning the caliper and all, cause i did what u said and didnt under the pads and the pads started rubbing on the rotor even when my foot was off the brake.
Plus when u take the top part of caliper off only under the top bolt because the top of the caliper will then swing like a door or lid.
