Where online can i get a decent Catalytic? went to a couple shops but i dont want to have to weld it on. want one with flange so it will bolt up to piping. Also how much Oem o2 cost roughly? worth extra to go with Oem oppose to Bosh? Hatch at the moment runs good but Cat shot and makes all kinds of noise and i figured i would change o2 cause Runs really rich!!

well last time i said this i got flamed but right now im running a straight test pipe and when i get my cat back i will use a cheap egay high flow cat and hope it sorta works like a resonator
BTW I dont have to deal with emissions if you do probably the catco would be best

If its making noises its more than likely the heat shield, can easily be fixed with some hose clamps.

hose clamps eh? i get a really ugly rattle just below 3 rpms, and then up around 6 when im pinning it. ruins my smooth sounding exhaust.
by hose clamps, do you mean those metal circle things you tighten with a screw driver? just a guess.. i've been trying to avoid the rattle rpm in the meantime.

Yeah just get a couple of big ones, you can buy them at most hardware stores. If you cant find any really big ones you can link smaller ones together. Put them all the way around the cat and tighten it. Keeps the heatshield from rattleing.

sweet. i'll get some of those for sure, i never thought of that.
so just wrap them around the heat shields and tighten them really well?

Yup, most of the time that will correct the rattle.

unless its the element inside like mine was...replaced full exhaust except resonator, too bad some of the cat element blew into the resonator so it still rattles :(

just to follow up:
i took TSC's advice and got 3 hose clamps (yes. likely overkill) and strapped them onto the heatshields and tightened them right up, and the rattle is GONE!!
im soooooooooooo happy, the exhaust is so smooth sounding throughout the rpms, now i dont hafta try to avoid being just under 3k. awesome!!
i strongly encourage people to try this option if you have this rattling problem. if it doesnt solve it, you can always go return the clamps and get your money back. i had originally gotten one that was just too big, so i went back and got smaller ones, its so easy and cheap, and works perfect.
once again i was driving without the stereo just to hear my (now rattle-free) exhaust. :grinno:
