The passenger side of the car gets very wet when the ac runs for long periods. I have checked the drain and it is clear. The unit seems to be sweeting out side of the casing and it is running on to the floor. How do i stop this? I purchased this car used 2 years ago and have had this problem the whole time. Hope someone can please help.

There should be a drain in the bottom of the A/C housing that attaches to the firewall. The drain looks like a piece of flattened rubber, I would imagine that it is full of debris and needs cleaned out.
This would be on the outside, under the hood.

Thanks for ur reply. I have had the bottom cover off of the casing and the inside of the cover is clean. The drain is open and i have looked through the tube from the outside and the drain is clear. After the ac runs for long periods,The outside of the casing seems to sweat and it runs into the floor. There is water running out of the drain. Thanks

The piece of plastic that sits below the A/C and connects to the hose, that piece of plastic could be cracked. (I forget what tha piece of plastic is called.) We needed to replace some of those on some previous cars we've had. None have ever been an Impala though. But a GM car, none the less.
