buying eclipse

i am buying my mom's friends 95 eclipse GS has 102k miles on it and is a 5 speed. i was wondering if the motor has the same internal's as the GST or GSX b/c i want to put a turbo on it and basicly make it a GST but need to know how much boost i can run and such and if the clutch and tranny can handle it.

search and no not the same internals they are different engines.

Has been discussed over and over and over....I think it's also in the sticky at the top. Use the search.....it will take hours to read all the threads on this.

U cant make a gs into a gst. The only way is to swap a 4g63turbo engine into it. If u do a turbo for the gs its only going to be a GS Turbo not gst, the reason i say this is because the gst/X have the potential to whoop the 420A turbo'ed with less work into it.
