Hi Noob! Welcome!
So there are no pauses between flashes?
If there are no pauses maybe your ecu is the problem. Try borrowing one from a friend or get one from the junkyard (with a return policy) and drop it in to see if it fixes the problem. GL

Thanks for the welcome.
There are no pauses between flashes.
I'll try another ECU. Will a ECU on a 1991 Civic HB 1.5l work on a 1.6l crx?

you sure its non stop blinking? i think the highest number of consecutive flashes is 20. check it again, there should be a little longer pause between codes.

I'm positive. I turn key off and on 3-4 times just to make sure I wasn't dreaming. I count over 60 flashes with no pause then I got bored. It flash every second.

that must be code infinity...means everything possible is wrong. Not really, that's interesting I thought dead ECU's just don't flash.

O.K. I use the 1991 Civic HB 1.5l ECU on the a 1.6l crx? The 1.5 ECU didn't start the CRX.
the 1.6 CRX ECU did start the HB 1.5 but it miss fire. So I'm thinking it not the ECU that is the problem. The ECU is working O.K. It just wasn't compatible.
So could it be the ignition coil?

you can't use the 1.5L ECU...it's the dual point injection, the 1.6 is multipoint...I'm confused.

Trace Your Ecu Ground Clean It And Torque It Properly..
Find Your Ecu Main Supply Line At The Ecu Connection And Test It For A Continuos Power Supply..
Always Check The Obvious First...

Thanks everyone for your time. I found out what it was. I should have notice it when I first remove the dist. cap. The problem was the screw came loose from the rotor and has fallen out. It run fine now.

happens a lot. a guy i did a b16 swap for called me once and said "the car just died, it wont start back up. you need to come here and fix it. im on the side of the road" i told him to pop the dizzy cap and check the rotor, and to be careful not to let the rotor screw fall out of the cap. he thought i was bullshitting and trying to get out of taking the ride.
well, 10 minutes later he called and said "you are a fucking honda god! how the hell did you know it was that?"
truth is, i didnt know for sure, i just knew there were a few quirky things about EFs that make them not start. and i told him to try that one first.
