mpfi swap

well i dont have access to a 4th gen with mpfi but i can get a y8 manifold and all the mpfi stuff off a 3rd gen si. my question is can this be done easily(well just about as easy as the normal mpfi swap) and what are the differences between the 3rd and 4th gen systems

what do you mean from a 3rd gen?
If you mean a 84-87 then no it wont work.
You need:

88-91 civic/crx si distributor
any 88-91 civic/crx si intake manifold or 92-00 civic manifold (any sohc model)
any 88-91 civic/crx si ecu (PM6), 90-91 integra ecu (PR4), or 88-89 integra ecu (PG7) to make it work. Thats it.
Also, you will need a harness from a 88-91 civic/crx si or 90-91 integra to cut up and use the extra plugs from.

well i know thats what i need to do the usual swap but i dont have access to any of that suff locally so i want to know if there are any physical differences. because people swap fist gen teg ecu for the 3rd gen si one so wouldn't that work the only problem that i am seeing is that the 3rd gen i vaccum advanced the only other problem would be a physical difference in the dizzy
