I have a 1998 ford windstar that has 83,000 miles on it. The check engine light came on so I took it to the nearest advance auto to have the codes read. They are as follows; dtc p1450 unable to bleed fuel tank vacuum ; dtc p1512 intake manifold runner stuck closed (bank1) can anyone tell me what these codes mean?

P1450 maybe as simple as the gas cap not properly venting. p1512 maybe a broken clip. I just replaced one last week. Use the search thread above. (I dont remeber exactly the link to help you with this, as it has helped me.)

vmvatbaby means go back to the "Windstar forum" search box, NOT the "search this thread" box. Type in "IMRC" and spend an hour looking at what folks have done to fix this. The good news is that you can fix it in your driveway. The bad news is that it's a big operation. Post back here with your questions, opinions. . Don't give up. Old Windstars typically gum up their heads/intake manifolds. You "tune this old gal up", and "treat her right", and she'll be "good to go" for many years. Post her with further questions.
