And no, even if you do take the restrictor off, it doesnt stop at 155mph. 155 is the limit the restrictor imposes in Europe. The Z8 would probably top 180mph. 400bhp, lighter and more aerodynamic than the M5, 180mph+ should be a doddle

the z8 will reach about 280-290 kmh

Menu, i would have thought top speed would be slightly higher than that, maybe 295kph. after all an M5 does around 180mph unrestricted

well normally it has 400 ps
from hamann there is one with 420 ps without restrictor...
with 420 it reaches 295.. so probably i was correct with my 290

My thoughts on the Z8..................Never driven it- but those who have driven it rave about it- the engine is very much the same as the M5- which is one hell of a gutsy engine- and it looks so damned sleek and sexy :D But i don't think I could justify buying one somehow:(

too bad they dont make z8 nomore :( , now its the ALPINA Z8 ROADSTER that they make , instead of 400 horsepower the m5 engine provided for the z8 , they detuned it to 385 and gave it an automatic transmission only, what a ghey move from bwm, wouldnt expect this at all from them
