ok one of my friends sold his neon to some kid at school. this kid never drove a stick until he drove the neon, he had it for two days and broke the clutch lincage that was replaced last summer.
this wasnt the first car he wrecked he had an olds eighty eight and killed the engine and trans.
then he blew up the engine in his brothers olds that had less than 100k miles on it
and he wants to drive my civic. FUCK THAT SHIT !

Make the connection: Olds = blown engine
Now unmake the connection: Broken Clutch Linkage (Does Not Equal) Wrecked Car
And Finally Make this connection: Neon = POS

Not necessarily true twizted. I think its the driver that is the problem not the car.
If the kid can't drive a stick why in the world would he drive one. Natually the vehicle will get destroyed.
I just love how people naturally assume its the vehicle when the bottom line shows its the drivers fault.

oooook....well...you wanna show me where I said it wasn't the drivers fault for the broken clutch linkage?? I don't see it, maybe I missed it. Looks clearly to me like I said two things...neither having to do with whos fault the problem was.

The first time I drove a stick, I didnt stall it for about the first day or so, I learned by watching people

it is his fault thats what makes me mad that he wants to drive my civ (it is a stick) plus he push it way to hard way to early. ive had its been sitting in a garage for almost 6 months im not even going to push it that had for awhile.

Oh well I was just making a general statement about Neon's, i'll be more specific next time. I don't let anyone drive my cars, unless they're renting one of course, then they pay for what they break...you should do the same.

Its funny you mention that, cause when I was younger (many many moons ago) :banghead:, I did not have a car of my own and my best friend did as well as my dad. Neither would let me drive it. Mind you I took driving classes, had past my license and even was praised by my driving instructors how well I drove, yet neither my dad or my best friend would let me drive their cars. I said back then if I ever get a car and a friend needed to use if, I'll let them.
That was then, this is now. HELL NO. Now I understand why both of them then said no after having my own car. Some people no matter how careful they may think are good drivers there is a slight possiblity (blame it on murphys law) will get in an accident with your vehicle. If I get into an accident, I have no one to blame but myself, but anyone else, I'll be upset that my car was messed up. So I agree with you. No one drives my car.

lol, another thing I always say to whoever I rent my car to is "if you get in an accident, i'm reporting it stolen". I figure that would cover me pretty well.
