Manual transmission

I was considering doing a swap to a manual on my 2000 ls next time the transmission needs to be re-built. Anyone have any transmission suggestions? Too bad the car isn't f/r...that'd make it much easier.

hmmm you'll need shift linkage(for a 5speed). a (manual) pcm. my guess is you'd have to go hydraulic clutch, since i doubt they make a cable clutch. You'll also need (manual)axels and maybe half shafts. then u still need to switch your dash & other interior parts. I'm sure there's other things you'll need to do that i've left out. it's never been done that i'm aware of, and for good reason. It's so labor intensive

yea but if you can drive a stick well that clutch will last you for a long time and the GM tranny is shit anyway
