I just bought my first Saturn. It is a 1995 SL with 1.9 liter and 134,000
miles. I have noticed in the past two days that I have owned the car, that after highway driving and tuning off the engine the radiator fan does not stay on to cool down the engine. In all my previous cars (Volkswagen all) the radiator fan would stay on after a spirted drive on the highway. Once the engine had cooled down a bit the fan would go out. I have not seen this happen in my Saturn, is this normal? Please help.

ditto, I usually let my car idle for a few minutes after a "spirited" drive to allow the oil to continue to circulate and cool like that, or drive around for a few minutes not being hard on it, its bad to just stop after being on the highway for a while, it causes oil starvation of critical super hot parts
I've never had a problem with overheating, and I'm in texas!

I heard saturnfans (www.saturnfans.com) sucks too! j/k, its a good site,

here is what I did, changed the Temperature Sensor, new fan relay and since the hood was up., I replaced the thermostat. Also a neighbor told me that Saturns don't let their fans on after the engine has been turned off. Well, now my mind is at ease. Thanks to Everyone for all your help.
