Ok, i got spark, compression, fuel. I dont know what else to check for i have checked all my wires and this is what a came up to.
The car has about 1/2 a tank of gas. It doesnt smell good and the car has been sitting for a good year to a year and half. Could the gas not be good any more? The car almost started a couple of times and you could hear it ignite but then it stopped doing it.
If i do want to get rid of the gas, i know which wire turns it on then i could just undo the gas line from the engine into a bucket. Would this work or would it mess up the fuel pump?

Sounds like it could be... U can try to put in some good gas with some gas treatment or injector cleaner, see if that helps...

Thanks, If its not the gas what else could be the problem? Gas is getting through the line and going out back to the return line like its supposed to but im not sure if the injecters are squirting it in. How do i check my ECU?

you know i had gas sitting in my tank for almost 3 years, my car started right up. so your gas aint bad, it doesnt go bad in a asense that it wont start up your car. you will just lose all its octane rating so to speak

I don't know. I've had bad gas before (in my '90 Olds), and it would start but it sputtered out and died. When I drained the gas and put new in and used some fuel system cleaner, it started and idled perfect. I'm also in NY, so maybe the warm/freezing/warm/freezing crazy weather had more to do with it than just being old gas.

What happens is dirt and sut settles on the bottom of the tank, and mixes more with the gas than it would if u use the car often, since it sits for much longer... Plus the gas lines and injectors will dry up, and dirt will also settle in there causing these problems... So when someone says 'bad gas', it dosnt mean the gas itself 'went bad', it simply means it got dirty from sitting...

instead of doing that and maybe finding out that that wasnt it, get some carb cleaner, have a buddy spray it into the throttle body while cranking the car with the throttle somewhat open. if it fires up then dies out, then yea, you got some shitty fuel.
