I have a 1995 Windstar. I had the code read at Autozone. It came up with 0708 (transmission sensor range) which is what I suspected. I bought a reader that gives code but not description. In my haynes book the code list stops at 605. Does anyone know where I can get, online, the list for OBD1 readings? Thanks

Thanks Miles, That is perfect. Does anyone happen to know what would cause high output voltage from the TR? I'm going to try changing it but if that doesn't work I'd like to have other options if there are any. Thanks

The sensor is a combination of a rotary switch and a patchwork of resistors. Internal shorting would lead to output voltages being above normal.

Thanks - I changed the TRS and the code is not coming back. It helped considerably. May have slight other problem but I am not getting a code. May be the air intake sensor since the air cleaner box is really bad and not closing right giving bad reading to sensor.. I am going to pick up a new one.
