im abou to go check out an eclipse GS. i heard that you can take parts off a GST and just bolt them onto the engine to turbo it. i know you wont be capable of as much boost as a GST block, but is his doable? how much boost can i expect?

No, you can't take parts off a gst engine (4g63) and put them on a gs engine (420a). If you want to turbo a gs, there are plenty of threads on here that tell you how.

Nope. To turbo a 2g NT you'll have to buy a Hahn or Star turbo kit, or do a 4g63 swap.

or piece together your own turbo kit. a 420a turbo'd with a t25 @ 10psi will actually be quicker than a stock GST but it costs more money.

Of course, but I doubt someone that thinks a GST turbo setup will fit on the 420a will probably not be able to piece together their own kit. :)

i agree if you want a turbo eclipse your best bet is to just buy a turbo eclipse. That way all the turboing was already figured out y mitsubishi and you won't have to.

yea you guys are right. im going ot be humble and admit i really know shit about turbso except the various parts and how it works, so im going to try for a GST. the reason i asked all this was because i saw a GS in really good condition for 4k, and ive never sen a low mileage good condition GST for less than 7k, which i dont have.
