GSR Vs Mustang V6??

I have the stock pieces of crap tires... spin badly off the line.
I am using an NX EFI Kit. It is a wet kit (sprays into the intake). It is set up with a WOT (wide open throttle) switch which squeezes when I hit the switch. So basically I am squeezing the entire run down the track. NX is by FAR the best kit you can buy, I don't car what anyone tells you NX IS the best. They are designed to run rich which will prevent engine damage. It also has a fuel pressure safety switch which cuts the N2O if fuel pressure drops further protecting you from running lean and melting pistons. N20 has a bad rep but I promise you if it is set up right and not overdone you will not have to worry about engine failure or damage. If you are planning on getting Nitrous get a Nitrous Express Kit. Go to www.nitrousexpress.com and look around. I also have the Gen X 2 upgrade which gives you the bottle heater, purge valve and fuel pressure saftey switch. The purge valve and bottle heater ARE indispensible if you want the fastest time possible with your set-up. I surprised a few people at the track last night :eek:
I ran a 13.801 at 101.6 mph. My 60 ft was 2.08. Many many people were for some reason:rolleyes: attracted to my car after that. I could have beat ANY stock Mustang besides newer cobras out there, even slightly modified ones. It is a great feeling, I can't really explain it, it is just the look the GT people gave me that made my heart skip a beat. I beat an almost stock 95 Cobra (still 5.0) he ran a 14.3 at 100.? I was extremely pleased.

Also NOS brand and most other brands rate their shot size at the flywheel NX rate it at the tires. So a 100 hp shot of NOS brand is 100hp at the flywheel, NX's 100hp shot is 100hp at the wheels. Also NX has a lifetime warranty on their solenoids, no one else does.

dude what r u thinkin...a stock ex will never ever beat me :flipa: ....and all u guys say that the gsr will have no problem...i havn't raced a gsr yet and i don't know who will win...but i know for sure that the gsr will not smoke me...i think it would b alot closer then u guys think..

Are you all high? How could you ever say a gsr would KILL a mustang V6. The 99 Mustang V6s are crazy fast . 0-60 in less than 7 seconds. Some people on this board need to go get some knowledge.

i drove my friends '01 mustang GT last week. it is a stick and i can say that i was not too impressed. he was not in the car, he just gave me the keys and said "take 'er for a spin." i was like ok, i ran over to the car and took off. (first time driving a V8 or RWD) of course i fishtailed when i took off, he doesnt care, he knew i would do it. Great low end power though, the high end is not there in my opinion.

im not trying to cause any problems but, i think you need to get some knowledge. Yeah I agree, V6 stangs are a joke. GSR hands down. GT's aren't that great either, but will beat a GSR. I think the new Mach 1 is sweeet though. It ran a 12.97 with drag slicks and Paul Svinicki behind the wheel.

This is taken from you sig, and if your times are accurate then you should be able to beat a STOCK V6 auto. My buddy ran 16.7 in his 00 V6, but he could shave a few tenths with a more aggressive launch and driving style, but I don't think it would be enough to hang.
Now if your going to race a manual V6, then I think you might be running into a problem. Those should be able to run mid to high 15's. Depending on driver skill and style, I think the V6 mustang will have the edge.
Just remember that driver skill has a lot to play, and just cause one person runs a certain time in a car, doesn't mean that the next person will with the exact same car. Speculation and assumption. I guess that's all part of bench racing.

Now if he is messing with you and gone about taking off the emblem of a GT (V8)...you are gonna lose. I dont care how hyped up your GSR is...as long as it is N/A...it wont beat it. Another factor is that older mustangs are 5.0 liters...you wont be able to take those out either. The thing is this...if you are gonna race a mustang...know that its almost like racing a civic. You'll never know what is under the hood. My 2 cents.

errrr, i raced a 5.0 in my old benz and i hung with it. Oh yeah, my benz weighed nearly 5000 lbs (it was a 1986). Those cars are really slow stock.

in a straight line the benz dominates, but once it hits the turns the audi can just fly around them. damn i love 'em both.

because if my 142 hp integra can beat a mustang and an A4 with the same size in engine with a turbo can beat my car (which it can), then i can extrapolate and say that it will beat a mustang.
i have raced mustangs and i kill them. in my old benz, i would be dead even with a mustang until 30, then the mustang would inch forward. at 40, my car would switch into second and i would blow by them. my integra is MUCH faster than my benz off the line.

i agree that the 1.8t can't beat the stang. its TOO heavy. weighs over 3300 lbs, w/ not enough power.
but the ls, a car weighing only 2600 w/ 142hp/128trq, compared to the stang (mid 90's) weighing well over 3000 w/ only 150/160.

I think it's closer than you think. I have never raced a 99+ stang in my moms teg but I know I smoked that 96 or 97 whatever it was. I have raced a kid with a 99 with a few mods in my car, just barely beat him so I know how fast they are. And my car is only a little faster than my mom's 2000 integra. And this kid can drive well so it wasn't that.

The early 90's hatchbacks were called 'LX' if they weren't GT's, and they had the LX emblem on the back as well....I'm pretty sure the new ones still carry the LX title but just don't specify it with an emblem like before....and hey, who can blame them??? Would u want to advertise that you got the B*#%$ model mustang?

RS is the bottom model Integra. It goes RS, LS, GS, GS-R and Type R!:

SE means special edition, basically the same as an LS but I believe with a spoiler. Maybe a little more power options like a GS.

From what I am reading on this forum "some" of you import guys need to get your heads out of your ass and get some fresh air.
How the hell do you guys get off thinking that you are all high and mighty with your fuckin 4 cyl?
You say you stock 2001 "what ever ricer you want to put in here" can beat a say 95 stang..... well you are probably right!!!
Seeing how one car was made with technology from 1995 and one is made with technology in 2001 I can see why.......
Now if you want to compare cars with the same year you will notice a difference....... say you want to race a 2001 Mustang..... with your 2001 civic Ex lol...... You will get your ass handed to you by the stang.....

If the mustang puts the same amount into his car that you put into yours guess what! He still owns you!!!!!

I will post the facts of the mustang, you can use them how ever you wish. but dont assume your car will run this or that with out having hard core time slips. All of these times are give or take a couple tenths. I have been in the mustang sceen for 5 years and I KNOW what I am talking about when it comes to mustangs. These times are for average drivers in average cars in average alt. and average weather conditions. A higher alt. can make a car TONS slower so remember that.
94-98 mustang V6 auto runs 16.5-16.8 in the quarter stock, manual 16.1
99-03 mustang V6 auto runs 15.9 in the quarter stock, manual 15.5
94-95 GT runs 15.0-15.3 stock in manual and 15.8~ in auto(the better 3.08 rear mustangs run a couple tenths quicker)
96-97 GT runs 15.0-15.3 stock in manual and 15.8~ in auto(the better 3.08 or 3.27 geared mustangs run 2-3 quicker stock)
98 GT is a tenth~ faster in each area (10more hp)
99-03 gt runs 14.5 in auto stock and manual 14.0.
My 01 V6 with (CAI, exhaust, Gears, Tlok diff, UD pulley, and wider tires than stock) ran a 14.73@93mph 2.15 60ft. Stock i ran a 15.5-15.6 with a rare 15.4 average 60s are 2.2~
thats the facts for the mustangs. I really cant comment on the imports but a civic ex only has a chance (CHANCE) vs a auto pre 99 v6 or manual pre 99 v6 which i doubt stock would even take either one of them. but its not gonna run off and leave you either. Even the SI civics cant take a stock 99 up manual driven well(its a drivers race really). at least my friends never has been able to take me, and now he has a bit of mods and still loses miserably. a GS-R shoudl be good for low 15s stock? or does the later years have more power than a 95?
