Hello everyone. Ive been hangin around here for a little while and decided to post my latest build. Ok, this will be a Honda Civic drag car. Im using the Revell Honda Civic hatchback 2 in 1 kit. The only thing Im really using from the kit is the body, motor/trans, and head and taillights. Most everything else will be scratchbuilt or resin. So far this is what I have pics of. Intake manifold, turbo manifold (I already trimmed down the wastegate pipe), fuel rail with injectors, and a throttlebody. The front end is not complete, but it is widened by stacking styrene on the fenders sanding it into shape and filling it with Tamiya standard putty. The sunroof was shaved with a similar process. I have no idea on the paint scheme yet but it will definitly be something cool to fit the build. Wheels and tires are from Perry's Resin. I might use some Nascar tires though for the front cause they are a bit taller and wider, Ill see then if they fit properly. I plan to highly detail the engine and interior with scratchbuilt and a couple of PE things. If all goes well there will be a CF undercar diffuser also. I have a couple more things made but Ill post pics when I get them. Let me know what you guys think so far. Sorry if the pics arent too great.

I have to agree with what Will said, greatness & quality
Although I have a question (cause I ve never seen any dragcar in real life ) , do dragsters usually have diffusers?

Some newer ones do. I got the idea from this car. If you look at the indent in the body where the wheelie bars connect to the body it has a diffuser there so it doesnt need a wing.

im sure that it prevents lots of air from getting under the body and preventing the rear of the car from lifting. much as a wing would push the car down. the only thing i see wrong is that is a RWD and your civic is a FWD

The pic might not be too clear but thats actually Chris Rados FWD Celica. The fatty slicks are actually the Front of the car.

Update- This will be the last one for a little while cause Im gonna go away to visit family for a few weeks. Anyways got some more stuff made. I had to make a rear section to mount the rear axle and suspension. This section will eventually be braced in with the cage. Made rear shocks, made the pedals with the brake and clutch fluid reservoirs. I made a new crank pulley and a oil pump for a dry sump oil system. The pump will mount on the block and I needed a new section on the crank pulley to mount the belt that will drive the pump. Theres a tach and some guages, and started making the aluminum door panels. Some of this stuff is not finalized and some stuff might not look like much but once it gets painted and assembled it should look pretty cool. Enjoy. Feedback welcomed.

Well...yes and no. I had not been able to touch this for over a month. I finally got some work done on it. I started to paint the engine parts and chassis/rollcage. The sad part is I dropped the front end and it cracked to the point I cant repair it. I am still charging on with it but I am not sure if it will be done in time considering I have to redo the whole front end now. I will post some pics soon though. If anyone has a revell civic please hook me up!!

Update---The motor is just about assembled. Needs a couple more things but those will be done once its mounted in the car. I added some belts, mounted the turbo and intake pipe, and ran some misc hoses. I built a shifter and rear brake handle. I still have to add the shift linkage but that will be later.
