I got a little update. I flocked and decaled the seat. Installed it along with the steering column and pedals. I also officially mated the chassis to the rollcage. comments welcome

I actually just started on it yesterday. Ill post some pics when it starts coming to gether . Not to much to show yet.

Update- I got the motor dropped in. Built the shocks and lower control arms. Here are some pics of everything. Still got a couple of things to add to the engine which should be done soon.

I started to glue some styrene on it already. Im gonna try to sand it smooth today and if needed add more styrene to it.

UPDATE---Ok I finally got something done on this one. The fuel system, oil tank, breather tank, battery, and wheels are in. For the most part the motor is all set. Now I have to finish up the front end and some minor body work and off to paint it will go.

thanks for the link. quick question....did you buy or scratchbuild those jack stands?? hahah, i was just thinking about those last night and if they made those. pretty sweet....everything is looking pimp, love your model.

I have been wanting to build a decent FWD dragster for a while now, my 1st attempt (a CF CRX) needs alot of help IMO, it just does not look very clean and after looking at yours I feel like throwing mine away. I will be following this thread and can't wait to see it finished. :smile:

Thanks for all the kind words guys. I really havent touched this thing much so I have to start putting in some time to get this done for the contest. I hope to have more progress soon.

really like your drag civic, in fact i'd show it to a friend last night and is reply was: man it look just like a real one. awesome! i must say, i agree with him. i really like the front end, did tought of making a vacu-form replica of it? i'd sure be interested to by one if affordable.

First coat of paint is on. The roof looks kinda shittie. You can see where I filled in the sunroof. Im gonna see of there is anyway I can hide that as I go along. Beside that so far so good. As you can see it wont be ready by tomorrow for the contest. Put me down as a DNF.

that looks crazy, how did u do the back half?

I used masking tape, then just airbrush lightly close to the edge of the tape. This way you just get some overspray on the silver surface. Peel the tape and it gives you a crisp line. Then i took a pice of ignition wire and dipped it in paint to dot the rivets on.

Added the decals. What do you guys think of the headlights? There is something about them that Im not too happy with. I think they need to be a little wider.
