Well my wife's windstar trans made a bang at a stop sign and you know the rest no forward gears only reverse. Towed to a Ford dealership.
Broken pump shaft new tranny needed. We only have 65,000 miles on the van and had the trans serviced at the same dealership at 40,000 mi.
I asked for some help with the bill ($2500) they said no. So i called customer relations an explaned every thing to them without yelling or being nasty. After a few minutes they said no. I asked who is next in line to speak or write to and they said there is nobody else. So i need to know is there anybody else I can complain to.
Thanks
C.Thomas
Ps. By the way I live in Pennsylvania

the valve body can be removed and a new inputshaft installed,as long as the valve body wasnt damaged.have seen this problem before, but in the police taurus.i pulled the valve body inframe ,replaced the shaft and seals . good luck at the dealership.

I may be wrong (usually am) but I don't think you'll have nutting ... not even reverse .... without the oil pump.
By the way, I broke a pump shaft on my '99 at approx 90k miles. It wiped out the valve body in the process. The valve body and shaft can be replaced in-vehicle. But I'm still not convinced that that's your problem.
There are plenty of tranny experts here to offer opinions ... I'm not a tranny person, just guessing.
With the years and mileage on the vehicle, I doubt that you'll get any help from Ford. .... unless you can prove the dealer did something wrong .... like put in the wrong fluid.
