96 windstar

hi i new here but heres problem i have a 96 windstar with a 3.8 l motor can someone please tell me what these codes go to po340/po1537/po1538/po171/po174/po733 and abs codes c1155/c1233/c1158/c1168 ive got all the codes need to know where to start cause i can repaire most things if i have good starting place or is there a place were you can get all the codes? thank you

P0340 Camshaft Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
P1537 Intake Manifold Runner Control (IMRC) Bank #1 Stuck open
P1538 Intake Manifold Runner Control Bank #2 Stuck open
P0171 Lean Bank #1 (Usually a vaccum leak)
P0174 Lean Bank #2 (as above)
P0733 Incorrect Ratio for 3rd gear (transaxle code)

Out of this list.....look for a vaccum leak.....possibly in the IMRC path as they are vaccum controled.

Check electrical connections.

Camshaft position sensor is easy to replace....sometimes the connector deteriorates.....If you replace JUST the sensor, 2 little bolts on the top of the sensor & 1 electrical connection....goes on just as you took it off.
This is all that is left of the former 'distributer'. Replacement of the gears that connect to the camshaft....requires careful alignment....so don't mess with any other screws / bolts around there if you don't have to.

I have the PO340 code and all indicatoins are that the cam shaft position sensor is easy to replace. However I don't know where it is? Any help in finding this on a 96 3.8 GL?

You will find the CPS just above the water pump. It has a 2" Dia. round top to it with the elecrical connection coming in from the right rear.
