Is it worth it for me?

Ok, my friend offered to sell me a bare LS block for 100. I'm talking now pistons, no rods, no crank, nothing. 100 bucks worth it? My plan is to build a high compression LS-VTEC with ITR pistions, eagle rods, ARP head studs and such....

Hell no. I wouldnt pay more than $25 for a bare block. He should give it to you if he is a good friend. Maybe offer to buy him dinner somewhere.

$100 is a decent price for an LS block WITH everything, bare bones I wouldn't pay $25 for it.

I payed 75 for my old LS block... complet minus distributor.

LS blocks are worthless without internals or Sleeves and stuff.

50 bucks at the most i'd pay for it. Find yourself a gsr/itr shortblock. Gsr complete shorty should go around for 300-900 with everything in it. Less hassle than LS v-tec IMO.
